The class will finish our study on apples this week. Look for a list of what we learned outside our classroom.
Monday we made negative apple prints. The children placed apples shapes on their paper, then sprayed orange red and yellow watercolors around the shape. We did not use the right paper and the watercolors ran under the shapes. Everyone will get to try this again in the future using different shapes and paper. I sent those home Wednesday.
Each child wrote an invitation to you on Wednesday. We practiced letter and number recognition, and letter and number writing.
Friday we will cut up apples to make applesauce for the feast. The children get to practice their fine motor skills using plastic knives to cut the apples. They will also practice fine motor skills making pushpin pictures.

This week we are also talking about being thankful. What does that mean? What are we thankful for? Ms. Rhonda talked about this at worship, too. You will find a picture of a cornucopia in your child’s backpack. Rhonda asked them to write or draw a picture of what they are thankful for on the cornucopia. Feel free to do this at home with your family. No need to bring it back to school.

At small group we wrote what we were thankful for in our journals and wrote words next to our pictures. Everyone played turkey math. We counted the dots on each turkey and put that many buttons on the turkey. We practiced tagging, 1-1 correspondence and number recognition. Have your children count the napkins, forks or plates for you at dinner.
Fridays sharing letter is Dd.

A lot of important papers went home yesterday. Please check your child's backpack.

Please don't bring backpacks on Monday. The class will meet you upstairs at 11:00 and we will dismiss from there after the feast.

The weather is getting chilly! Please remember coats, hats and mittens,we still go outside.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Belessing on your Family.
