Beliefs

We believe in the Triune God - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  John 1:33, Matthew 28:19

We believe that God the Father created the Universe. He is loving, compassionate, just and kind. His deepest desire is to live in an intimate relationship with all people.
  Genesis 1:1, 27

We believe that because of his desire to live in a relationship with us, God became a human being. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, is fully God and fully man. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus made it possible for all people to live in a relationship with God.
  Luke 1:35, Acts 2:32-33

We believe that the Holy Spirit is alive and present among us and brings people to faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to all believers.  Romans 5:5, 1 Corinthians 12:3-4

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Through it, God reveals himself to us.  Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe that the church is the body of Christ. As his body we are called to worship him, serve him and be the vehicle through which the Good News is shared with the world.  Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:27

We affirm and profess the confessions of the Lutheran Church. We affirm we are saved by grace through faith alone and not by any of our own accomplishments.  Ephesians 2:8-10

We believe in and practice the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe that through the waters of Baptism, God comes to us to adopt us as his children. We affirm the baptism of infants.
  Acts 2:38

We believe that through the Lord's Supper, God comes to us to love, forgive and strengthen us. Jesus' body and blood are truly present in the bread and wine.
John 6:54-55

We believe in the worth and value of the human being. We are created in God's image and have dignity. Our worth is dependent, not on deeds, but on God's love.
Genesis 1:27, 1 John 4:7-11

We believe that humanity is separated from God because of sin. We joyfully proclaim the Good News that because of Jesus Christ, forgiveness is ours.
  Romans 5:8-9

We believe that faithfulness brings peace and joy. Our lives are voluntarily and gladly placed under the Lordship of Christ. In him we find what the world cannot give.  Philippians 4:7
