Pastor Phil Accepts Call to LUMA
Over the last seven years, I have come to believe in LUMA’s vision to help the fullness of the Gospel become a reality among the diverse cultures, generations, and communities of greater Kansas City. For this reason, I am accepting the call to become the next Executive Director of Lutheran Urban Mission Agency.
Meet Your New Call Committee!
The newly formed call committee for the Lead Pastor at the Mission Campus will meet for the first time this coming weekend. Please pray for the committee as we get to know each other and become familiar with the call process.

April 18 Construction Update
Work continues at the Shawnee campus. Windows are being manufactured and the final work to seal up the roof is in process. The new entrance to the sanctuary is being framed inside so that area can be sealed off when the current exterior wall is opened up. Additional steel beams will be added to the original exterior wall soon.

Call Committee for Lead Pastor at Mission Campus
One of the biggest takeaways from the listening sessions that took place in March was a desire to change the structure of leadership at Trinity, with the idea of the three pastors’ roles being reorganized. The Executive Committee President Patti Hare, has appointed a call committee to fill the role of Lead Pastor at the Mission campus. Please keep the call committee in your prayers as they begin their work in calling the next lead pastor at Mission. We look forward to this next step in ministry as we work together as a “Community Following Jesus.”
Attendance Tracking Update – New Digital Pew Card!
New for May! Trinity is introducing a new way to take attendance! Starting in May you can now register your worship attendance with your phone. This new Digital Pew Card will also give you other things at your fingertips such as prayer requests, electronic giving, and announcements. Look for this coming soon!
Confirmation Sunday
Over the next two Sundays, April 21 and 28, eleven of our students confirm their faith in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Please join us in praying for these students as they approach this milestone, for their families as they continue to love and support their children, and for us as a community celebrating alongside the Confirmands.
50+ Spring Luncheon

Join us as we eat a good meal, enjoy one another’s company, and celebrate the end of another lovely season of Bible study, food, and fellowship. The end-of-season spring luncheon will be held in the Mission campus fellowship hall following the 50+ Bible study in the sanctuary.

The LCMS Kansas District is starting an initiative to encourage schools and churches to spend April serving together.
April 4 Construction Update
The new space is almost closed in! Roofing, electrical and insulation work continues this week weather permitting. Work along Midland Drive will be starting around the first week of May. This part of the project will include adding trees, curbs, and a sidewalk to the north side of the road.
Easter Sunday for Children
On Easter Sunday there will be a special children’s Easter message in all worship services. Easter worship bags will be available for all children.
